Enrico Pitton discovered the world through a lens during his first university year in Venice (enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture) by attending a course on the History of Photography.
By studying the most important photographers from the past and the present, he tried to understand their language and technique in their unique way of representing the world.
He then took portraits, photographed landscapes and, recently, took extreme macro pictures of insects and bugs showing textures and colors invisibles to the naked eye.
With his pictures, Enrico, tries to go beyond the photography of reality, he finds shapes and colors that come out of the picture. Gives movement to a static picture. As in front of an abstract painting, the goal of the artist is to leave the visitor free to choose what he’s seeing, let him be absorbed by the personal sensations that everyone feel when looking at a photograph.
He takes part and wins several internet contests on different sites (Flickr.com, 500px.com, Nikon.com, Facebook.com) and in some galleries and at local events. His pictures are selected and published by some online newspapers like “fotobacheca macro” and “extreme macro”. He is very active on several Facebook groups where he shares his experiences and knowledge with other members.
